The Big Blue Movie Event – 2014


20140807 Maarq Big Blue Flyer v3_ATThe Big Blue Movie Event is coming to Melbourne’s favourite classic cinema, the Astor Theatre on Monday September 8th 2014.

What’s it all about?

A movie with almost cult status amongst water lovers, The Big Blue features Jean Reno in a story of freediving rivalry set in the beautiful waters of the Mediterranean. Directed by Luc Besson, it will feature in a double movie special alongside the film Atlantis at the Astor Theatre in St Kilda.

The night will feature more than enough entertainment for film buffs. For the water lovers, there’ll be a mermaid, top-ranking international freediver, and local marine ambassador that has uncovered Port Phillip Bay’s hidden marine secrets.

With an evening immersed in freediving, The Big Blue event is brought to you by Apnea Australia Freediving Instructor, Marlon Quinn and supported by Melbourne’s fastest growing Freediving Sports Club, the Melbourne Freedivers Club Inc.

World-Ranking Freediver, Ant Williams

He’ll be presenting his personal insights at The Big Blue event, a great chance to catch a glimpse before his installment at TEDx Melbourne Conference on 10th Oct.

Marine Ambassador, Sheree Marris
